The NXT Step In Software
Building upon the easy-to-use, icon-based format, the new software version developed by National Instruments expands the Robot Educator feature, a step-by-step construction and programming tutorial, and adds data-logging capabilities with seven new tutorials, models, and building guides for students.
Also available is new firmware supporting floating point math, plus introduction and guidance for using the new NXT Temperature Sensor.
A Science & Data Logging Activity Pack designed specifically for use with the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT software 2.0 and NXT Temperature Sensor is also available.
The activity pack consists of four real-life science activities and one research project, providing up to 25 hours of classroom instruction.
To upgrade classrooms currently using LEGO MINDSTORMS Education 1.0 or 1.1 software, a single copy of the 2.0 software is all that is needed.
Individual robotics classrooms simply need to install the new version on their classroom computer, while schools owning a site license for a 1.0 or 1.1 upgrade must upgrade each computer in their network.
LEGO MINDSTORMS Education NXT Software 2.0 is Mac OS X, Windows XP, and Windows Vista compatible.
