Come Build With Us!
Classrooms across the nation are being invited to take part in LEGO® Education Landmark School Comptition this school year!
"LEGO Landmark", an educational and interactive classroom competition, is part of the LEGO KidsFest lineup and is open to teachers and home educators of students in Grades K-4.
The competition is designed to provide students an opportunity to explore and learn about local, regional, or state history while discovering the value and importance of teamwork, imagination, and creative building!
To enter, educators must complete the online registration form and submit an essay about their class’ selected landmark, describing why their students want to build the landmark and its importance to their class, school, community, or state.
The top 20 finalists from each LEGO Landmark location will be sent LEGO sets and a building plate to construct their competition build. Each finalist will bring their competition builds to their local LEGO KidsFest for display and judging by popular vote. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
Upcoming LEGO KidsFest locations and LEGO Landmark competition registration deadlines are as follows:
Hartford: November 3, 2010
Atlanta: January 11, 2011
Philadelphia: March 8, 2011
Los Angeles: March 29, 2011
