LEGO Smart Extends Contest Limit

Thanks to the support of educators across the nation, the LEGO® Smart™ Creativity Contest has extended its limit of 10,000 new contestants. . . indefinitely!

Now through July 2010, all K-12 teachers and home educators working in the U.S. are invited to register for the 2010 LEGO Smart Creativity Contest!

A contest Web page, www.LEGOeducation.us/CreativityContest, provides the materials needed to preregister for this year's challenge and investigate what it means to be LEGO Smart.

After a contestant's registration is accepted, an e-mail notification is sent within 48 hours and each contestant is added to the bimonthly contest e-update filled with contest news, tips on creating a LEGO Smart classroom, hints to this year's contest challenge, and a featured LEGO Smart activity!

Official rules and challenge information will be sent to all preregisitered contestants on August 2, 2010.

To participate in the 2010 LEGO Smart Creativity Contest, you must be a teacher, home educator, or after-school program director or otherwise working with students within the K-12 education field. Previous year's contestants are eligible to participate.

All contestants, new and returning, must preregister through the Web site before July 31, 2010, to qualify for this year's contest challenge.

The 2010 LEGO Smart Creativity Contest will require the use of a LEGO Smart Kit. Kits are available, free of charge, to qualified contestants.
