FIRST® Robotics Competitions for K-12
Generate STEM excitement in your school by starting a FIRST® robotics team. With four uniquely designed programs for grades K-12, FIRST is an engaging way to inspire students both in the classroom and in after-school programs. In this session, you will hear firsthand from a FIRST coach and classroom teacher what the programs are all about and how you can get started.

MINDSTORMS Robotics in the Middle School Classroom – Getting Started
For educators just getting started with LEGO MINDSTORMS Education or considering how to incorporate MINDSTORMS into the classroom, this session is designed for you. Robotics is a proven and effective way to capture students’ attention and keep them engaged in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math lessons. Participants will complete an activity using LEGO MINDSTORMS Education along with the innovative and exciting Green City Challenge. Learn how Green City challenges students to solve a series of missions while learning about renewable energy, math, engineering, and science!
MINDSTORMS Robotics in the Middle School Classroom – Advancing Your Program To New Heights!
Are you already using LEGO MINDSTORMS Education in your classroom and looking for ways to expand its use to further engage students and cover even more curriculum concepts? If so, this session is designed for you. Participants will see new books and other resources available for LEGO MINDSTORMS Education and will complete activities using the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education Resource Set and the Renewable Energy Add-On Set.

Enhancing the Elementary Classroom Through Robotics
Learn how your students can explore science and math concepts with LEGO Education WeDo Robotics by building moving models out of LEGO bricks and programming the models using a graphical programming platform developed specifically for elementary students. Attendees will discover key science, math, engineering, and literacy concepts by completing an actual classroom activity from the LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Set and Activity Pack, and they will also explore how to integrate the free MIT-developed Scatch software into WeDo lessons.

Hands-On Introduction to LabVIEW™ for LEGO MINDSTORMS
Enrich your high school students’ robotics experiences and give them the tools that help solve tomorrow’s real-world challenges. In this session, gain hands-on programming experience with LabVIEW™ for LEGO MINDSTORMS, the industry-standard graphical system design platform created by National Instruments. Put your programming skills to the test by completing a real classroom activity from the Engineering with LabVIEW Activity Pack with a pre-built LEGO MINDSTORMS Education and TETRIX robot.
