The education version of the EV3 Software is a valuable resource for teachers, with features specifically requested by the nearly 800 educators across the globe who gave input during the development process.
Unique to the education version is data logging, an extremely useful and necessary tool designed for use in science, technology, engineering, and math lessons. Second, is the new software lobby, which enables one-stop access to all the resources needed to conduct projects with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education in the classroom – tutorials, programming, and building instructions. Third, all EV3 curriculum is digitally delivered and installs into the software lobby so students can access everything they need on one screen. Fourth, is Robot Educator, a series of 48 built-in multimedia tutorials that help students and teachers master building, programming, sensor and motor use, data logging, and more.
Finally, the new, comprehensive dynamic content editor gives teachers the ability to edit and alter digital lessons (or create new ones) and students the ability to create multimedia portfolios of their work for presentation and assessment.
The software and curriculum both have teacher and student install options, giving the teacher full control over the resources accessed by his or her students. The programming software is available in single, site, and district licenses that enable schools to purchase what makes the most sense for their needs.
