Use the HiTechnic Color Sensor for your more advanced needs! Detect an extended range of more than 15 target colors and program your NXT robot to react to each color. The Color Sensor operates by using a single white LED (light-emitting diode) to illuminate the target, analyze the color components of the light reflected by the target’s surface, and calculate a color number that is returned to the NXT program. The color number calculated by the sensor is refreshed approximately 100 times per second.

All HiTechnic sensors use a standard NXT cable and are housed in the MINDSTORMS® sensor housing; connector cables are sold separately. Sensor blocks are available for free download at www.LEGOeducation.us/hitechnic.
