The LEGO® Education WeDo Extension Activities Homeschool Pack II includes the Wild Animals and Adventure Stories Extension Packs. The extension packs serve as additions to the original WeDo Activity Pack to aid elementary school educators in creating more engaging learning experiences in science, literacy, math, and social studies. Using the LEGO Education WeDo hardware and software in combination with these activities, educators can easily create rich, cross-curricular lessons to inspire critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. These activity packs provide detailed lesson plans, resources, and extension activities delivered in a printed teacher’s guide. Also comes with a CD-ROM containing printable versions of all the lessons. These activity packs are designed for use with the WeDo Construction Set, Software, and Activity Pack and include optional extension activities using the Sceneries Set or the LEGO Education WeDo Resource Set.
Additional activity packs, sold separately, contain 12 activities that relate to the different LEGO Education WeDo themes: Amazing Mechanisms, Play Soccer, Wild Animals, and Adventure Stories. Every activity covers approximately three hours of classroom time, and each theme includes a Learning Grid (see Resources tab) mapping activities to key standards and learning objectives.
All 12 activities include a Lesson-At-A-Glance overview, a teacher’s guide with a detailed lesson plan, worksheet(s), a rubric for evaluation, and programming and building guidance. You will also receive tracking sheets for organization and program planning.
- Included are mathematics, literacy, science, and social studies activities for each model. Additional standards covering visual arts, dramatic arts, music, physical education, and technology are also sprinkled in throughout the lessons.
- Each activity pack contains 36 hours of classroom time across 12 activities.
